What is EGUMPP?
EGUMPP is an innovative and engaging web-based solution for teaching English grammar, usage, punctuation, and writing mechanics.
EGUMPP consists of four independent modules that use a building-block approach to present and teach the lesson concepts.
In each lesson, the lesson concepts are applied through practical, interactive exercises that promote authentic learning
and genuine understanding.

Most individuals who complete EGUMPP dramatically improve their written and oral communication skills. This occurs
because they obtain an in depth understanding of sentence structure and the rules pertaining to usage, punctuation,
and writing mechanics.
Meets your learning environment needs
EGUMPP, a completely online learning system, can be used in a traditional classroom, as a distance-learning course,
or as an independent-study course. EGUMPP can offered as a complete course or seamlessly incorporated into a
teachers lesson plans without making significant changes to the established syllabus. While it is strongly
recommended that individuals begin with Module I, the other three modules may be completed in any order.
EGUMPP Modules
The Grammar Module enables an individual to acquire an in-depth understanding of sentence structure and the parts of speech.
It includes 20 lessons and a five-part mastery test.
The Usage Module concentrates on the seven most common usage errors found in sentences. It includes seven lessons and a
two-part mastery test.
The Punctuation Module presents a six-checkpoint approach for learning how to punctuate sentences. It includes seven lessons
and a two-part mastery test.
The Writing Mechanics Module presents techniques for identifying and correcting the most common writing errors and leads
to writing clear and concise sentences. It includes eight lessons and a two-part mastery test.
